Treatment Planning With the MMPI-2(from the chapter) Psychological treatment planning is a concept that has gained considerable momentum in recent years. It encompasses both general and specific efforts to structure the intervention process and thereby make it more conducive to achieving desired treatment outcomes. In this chapter, we discuss using the MMPI-2 in creating and implementing treatment plans. We present both theoretical and practical information regarding interpretive strategies. We also discuss how some of the new directions being pursued in MMPI-2 research may relate to the treatment planning process.
