Michigan in Books review of THE BIG ISLAND

First published in 1968, this engrossing and beautiful picture book about wildlife on Isle Royale is available againThis may be a children's book, but adults will find great pleasure in the finely drawn illustrations and in reading the book to the young. I visited Isle Royale over 20 years ago and I treasure the book because it is a vivid reminder of four extraordinary days spent on the island. I expect the book will have the same effect on others lucky enough to have visited America's least visited national park.
