Hibbing Daily Tribune: Bringing Mary Casanova's first two books back into print
HIBBING — The self-proclaimed “author of books for young people” has been honored in a unique way.
Mary Casanova, of Rainier, Minn., and Ray, Minn., is very familiar with receiving awards, including Minnesota Book and Editor’s Choice.
But she had never had a book republished until recently.
Casanova, who has published 31 books throughout her 20-year career, had her first two books, “Moose Tracks” and its sequel “Wolf Shadows,” selected to be republished by the University of Minnesota Press earlier this year.
“I think it’s absolutely wonderful that they are coming back,” she said, noting it has been years since either has been published. “… They had a huge following of readers, mostly boys, who they helped propel them into becoming bigger readers.”
