Hanel_LastOnes coverThe art of gravestones, burials and memorials are all part of Rachael Hanel’s memories as a young girl, none of which she thought was unusual.

The daughter of a local gravedigger, she spent a lot of time in cemeteries and never thought it was out of the ordinary to go to work with her father, who worked in Waseca from 1977 until his untimely death in 1990.
