Scholar, author and LGBTQ activist Dr. C. Riley Snorton is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Communication Studies at Northwestern University. He is a vocal member of the trans community and writes in the areas of transgender and queer theory, cultural studies, performance studies, Africana studies and popular culture. Earlier this year, Snorton published a book titled Nobody Is Supposed to Know, which highlights how Black sexuality is viewed by the wider global community.
