Long before "locavore" became a trendy thing, the Diffleys were breaking their backs to grow food the way they passionately felt food should be grown: organically, sustainably, and environmentally responsibly. They were doing this long before there were national organic standards, and during times when organic farming was viewed by the majority as a unnecessarily picky way to go.
