The Miami Theory Collective was based in the department of French and Italian at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, but also included members from other areas of knowledge. For this volume on community, the Collective included James Creech, Mitchell Greenberg, Britton Harwood, Peggy Kamuf, Stephen Nimis, Marie-Claire Vallois, and Georges Van Den Abbeele.
