Robert Gilmore McKinnell, Professor Emeritus of Genetics and Cell Biology at the University of Minnesota, began his frog-cloning studies at the Institute for Cancer Research in Philadelphia and at Tulane University. He is the author of a book for scientists, Cloning: Nuclear Transplantation in Amphibia (Minnesota, 1978), and has testified before a Congressional committee -- and Congress’s Office of Technology Assessment -- on the problems connected with cloning.
