In celebration of the launch of Swedish-American Studies and the ongoing release of its back issues on Project MUSE, the University of Minnesota Press is partnering with the Swedish-American Historical Society to make select articles from the journal’s seventy-five year run free. Established in 1950, Swedish-American Studies (previously Swedish-American Historical Quarterly) is an international forum for scholarship on migration and ethnicity, as well as cultural, social, and political relations broadly defined. Selected by members of the Swedish-American Historical Society’s Publications Committee, these articles represent significant contributions to the study of Swedish emigration and the experiences of Swedes in North America.
This page will be updated with new content throughout the year as back issues of the Swedish-American Historical Quarterly are released on MUSE.
