READERS FOR THE FUTURE
The children’s picture book program at the University of Minnesota Press presents brave and creative works that help young readers to grow emotionally, understand cultural diversity, and immerse themselves in the wonders of our natural environment. Donated funds help us to produce these beautiful volumes to inspire young readers and extend support to diverse and early career illustrators.
AUTHORS FIRST
By donating to the Press’s program, you strengthen our capacity to take chances on debut authors, independent scholars, and works that break new molds and present cutting-edge ideas. Your generous donations support enhancements like color illustrations, design, and production, and additional marketing promotion, which can make all the difference for an innovative monograph or a debut memoir by an unknown author.

Our state’s literary community is among the strongest and most generous in the nation. Your support helps us to keep producing books that showcase the people, history, and natural history of Minnesota in all of its glory.
BOOKS FOR ALL
Your donations expand the Press’s capacity to make our books accessible to as many people as possible. Your support helps us to issue our books in affordable editions, to provide books to reviewers, advance readers, and other nonprofits, to produce our free podcasts and bring titles open access to the Manifold platform, and to do the necessary work to create accessible ebooks that use the latest technology to bring our books to all readers regardless of ability.
