EXPLORING THE ST. CROIX RIVER VALLEY event at Wild River State Park with Angie Hong

September 7 @ 7:00 pm 8:00 pm CST

Angie Hong, author of Exploring the St. Croix River Valley, will join the Wild River State Park for a presentation and discussion on Saturday, September 7 at 7:00 p.m. After a 20-minute talk, Angie and Park Naturalist Sean Hoppes will lead an easy half-mile walk through forests at the park. Bring good walking shoes and dress for the weather. Rain will cancel.

From headwaters to tributaries, Exploring the St. Croix River Valley is a comprehensive guide to the St. Croix Riverway and its 8,000-square-mile watershed. Angie Hong has been a conservation educator for more than twenty years. As coordinator for Minnesota’s East Metro Water Education Program, she works with thirty local government partners to implement education programs focused on teaching and inspiring communities to protect water resources. Her tips and tales about keeping water clean are featured regularly in columns in the Stillwater Gazette, Forest Lake Times, and other Minnesota newspapers, as well as online at eastmetrowater.org.
