Papers Presented at the Fiftieth Anniversary of the Founding of the Medical School of the University of Minnesota

Author:

Maurice B. Visscher

These papers were presented at the fiftieth anniversary of the founding of the medical school of the University of Minnesota. The scientific program was focused on trends in medical progress with particular reference to chemistry in medicine, because it represents one of the most recently developed and more rapidly expanding aspects of medical science. The theme was considered in four aspects: The progress in the application of physical chemistry to medicine; recent investigations in medicine; aspects of immunity and chemotherapy; and approaches to the nervous control of the organism. ....The book would be of greatest interest to physicians engaged in related fields of research. -Jane E. Taylor, Yale University

-JSTOR: The American Journal of Nursing, Vol. 40, No. 12 (Dec., 1940), pp. 1442
