Arnold Rose was chair of the Minnesota Planning Committee for the White House Conference on Aging. He was a professor of sociology at the University of Minnesota and the author or editor of several other books published by the University of Minnesota Press: The Institutions of Advanced Societies, Theory and Method in the Social Sciences, and Union Solidarity: The Internal Cohesion of a Labor Union.
