Author: Auke Tellegen, Ph.D.
Dr. Tellegen is a Professor Emeritus in the Department of Psychology at the University of Minnesota where he was on the faculty from 1968 until his retirement in 1999 as Professor Emeritus. He received his Ph.D. from the University of Minnesota in 1962. Recognized for his expertise in personality assessment, he has also contributed to the study of mood, behavior genetics, and hypnosis. Dr. Tellegen serves as psychometric consultant to the University of Minnesota Press, and is co-principal investigator, with Professor Yossef S. Ben-Porath, of the Press's MMPI-2 Restructuring Project. The initial stage in this project was Professor Tellegen's development of the Restructured Clinical (RC) Scales, the first revision of the Clinical Scales developed by S. R. Hathaway and J. C. McKinley for the original MMPI. |
