Wendell Johnson was the Louis W. Hill Research Professor in the world-renowned center of speech pathology at the University of Iowa. Among his other books are the two which are described on the back of the jacket. He was the national office consultant in speech pathology to the Veterans Administration, member of research grants panels or other committees in the U.S. Office of Education and U.S. Public Health Service, consultant on communication problems in industry, and a past president of the American Speech and Hearing Association.
