“Johnsonian Studies possesses virtues which such bibliographies should always possess: although it is admittedly not exhaustive, it includes all important (and almost all other) discussions of Johnson’s life and works published from 1887 through 1950; it distinguishes the more significant discussions; and it is accurate and easy to use.” - Gwin J. Kolb
