Clyde M. Christensen was a professor of plant pathology at the University of Minnesota. He is the author of several other books including The Molds and Man: An Introduction to the Fungi and Common Edible Mushrooms.
Henry H. Kaufmann was the manager of the Grain Research Laboratory of Cargill, Inc., an international farm products firm headquartered in Minneapolis.
